Funeral services will be 1 pm Today at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Margaret "Marcille " Byrum age 81 of Sardis who died Tuesday. Pastor Joe Wise and Reverend Glen Cornelius will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Byrum was a longtime member of Unity Baptist Church, lived most of her life in Alabama City ,has been a resident of Sardis since 1991.She enjoyed cooking for family ,and friends. Was known for her chicken dumplings and her peanut butter cakes and fried pies.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roy Byrum who passed away in December of 2016.
She is survived by son Wayne(Becky) Minton, daughter Teresa(Gary) Gilbert, grandsons Craig(Jade) Minton, Jared(Jenny)Minton ,Brandon(Brandi) Gilbert,6 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Craig Minton, Brandon Gilbert, Jared Minton, Lake Gilbert, Derrick Sherrell and Shane Wood.
Honorary pallbearers are Members of Unity Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 11 am until the time of service.
