Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Crestwood Chapel for Maggie Mae England, age 83 of Gadsden, who died Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Rev. Tim Holland will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral home will direct.
Mae was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Alabama City Bible Church. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Nora Loyd; three brothers Herbert Loyd, Earl Loyd, and Boyd Loyd; and one sister Opelzay Edwards.
She is survived by one daughter Bobbie (Ronny) Brown; one granddaughter April (Ray) Dowling; Four sisters Leevay (Neeley) White, Rita (Ernest) Gunnels, Jimmy Lee, and Audrey (Edward) Hester; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bogle, Jared Bogle, Jackson Bogle, Jeff Bogle, Travis Renfroe, and Jerry Lee.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Travis Renfroe.
Flowers will be accepted or Memorials may be made to the Alabama City Bible Church, 1100 Gladys Street, Gadsden, AL 35904.
