Mack Gifton Luck, age 87, of Gadsden passed away on Sunday April 24, 2022. Funeral

services will be on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home.

Mr. Luck was born in Cherokee County to Jewel Mae (Durham) Luck and Orville F.

Luck and was raised in Etowah County. He was a 1954 graduate of Gaston High School.

During high school, he worked at Sequoit Mills during the summer and then joined the

Army shortly after graduation, where he served four years. Mr. Luck then married his

high school sweetheart Billie Sue Mackey Luck in 1959 and the two were married for

over 62 years. He was employed at Republic Steel Mills/Gulf State Steel for over 30

years and was a longtime member of The Church at Wills Creek.

He is survived by his wife Billie Sue Mackey Luck, children Kathlynn (Phillip) Mathis

and Kevin (Tisha) Luck, grandchildren: Brittany (Michael) Glenn, Cody Mathis,

Jonathan Mathis, and Kaitlynn (Andrew) Price, Matthew Evans and five great grandchildren: Jamie Lynn,

Jonah, and Jordan Evans and Keegan and Harlee Mathis.

The family requests no flowers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the

time of service.
