Funeral will be held at 1 PM, Monday, January 4th, 2016, at Crestwood Chapel for Mable Mattie Boatwright, 97, of Gadsden, who passed away on Friday, January 1st, 2016. Jerry McCright will officiate. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mrs. Boatwright was a dedicated quilter, and was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church for 75 years. She also enjoyed spending time at the Lookout Mountain Community Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, C.T. Boatwright; parents, Lucien and Ida Wiggs; brother and sister-in-law, Herschel and Mildred Wiggs; and sister, Edna McDonald (Clifford).

She is survived by her sons, Merrill Boatwright (Linda Stough) and Johnny (Jean) Boatwright; daughter, Diane Lyles (James); grandchildren, John, Chris, and Keith Boatwright, Nick Lyles (Taryn), Jamie Listor (Tony), Jeanie Kay Ogle, and Joanne Anthony (Bruce); great-grandchildren, Kayla and Logan Ogle, Lindsey Lister, Colbie Lyles, and Tiffany Boatwright; brother-in-law, Billy Boatwright; sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Massey; and 14 nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Logan Ogle, Nick Lyles, Chris Boatwright, Tony Lister, Keith Boatwright, and John Boatwright.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Lookout Mountain Senior Citizens Club.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Sunday, January 3rd, 2016, at Crestwood Funeral Home.
