Lula Maudie Suggs passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017. Services will start at 12pm at Crestwood Chapel with Rev Bart Watts officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband "Buddy" at Oak Grove Cemetery.Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ory "Buddy" Suggs and son Jimmy and son- in-law Gale. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Waits Moulton, AL, children: daughter Linda King, son Dennis, son Randy (Sue), daughter Denese (Randy) Futral Wesley Chapel FL. Grandchildren Ronnie Guffey, De Alston (Pam) Kennett, MO, Todd Sosebee Decatur, Carrie Beth Suggs Huntsville, AL, Randi Williamson (John), Chris (Brittany) Suggs, Cheyanne and Jon-Luc Futral Wesley Chapel, FL. Great grandchildren Mycalann Watkins (Phil Lett) Stephanie Guffey, and Emmett Alston. And 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Suggs was life time member of Edgewood Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a 2nd mother to the community. She and her husband were avid travelers and campers and were members of the Rebels camping club, NCHA, and the Gad-A-Bouts.
Pallbearers will be Rod Stephens, Ricky Waits, Ronnie Guffey, Phil Lett, Wilbert Salter, and Chris Suggs.
Honorary Pallbearers: Shawn Kuechie, Emily Trocola, Robin, Verline, Christina and all the employees of Kindred Hospice.
Mrs. Suggs never met a stranger that she couldn't talk with. While we will all miss your talks, cooking, motivation, and sense of humor here on earth, heaven will welcome a daughter, wife, and sister.
The visitation will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 10-12
