Funeral services will be on July 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home for Mr. Luis Ramos, age 87, of Hokes Bluff who passed away on June 24, 2021. Father Jose Chacko will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.

Mr. Ramos was a Decorated Vietnam Veteran. He loved dogs and the outdoors. He previously taught Spanish at the community college and worked for Border Patrol and as a translator for the Gadsden Police Department and was most proud of his military service and the fact that he could speak multiple languages. He was a kind and genuine person with a gentle soul. He was a friend before you knew him. He deeply loved his wife and was a devoted family man to everyone  from his mother to his extended family.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life of over fifty years, Dorothy Ramos.

Mr. Ramos is survived by his daughter Vickie Ramos, grandson Roman, and the Roden and Rodriguez familes.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on July 7 starting at 12:00 p.m. and lasting until the time of service.
