Lucy Sims Hindman, age 89, of Glencoe, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026. A graveside service will be held at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery on March 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., with visitation taking place one hour prior at Crestwood Funeral Home. Rev. Chase Dowdy will officiate.

Lucy was a lifelong resident of Glencoe, Alabama, and was married to the love of her life for 71 years. She embodied God’s love in every interaction and was a blessing to all who knew her. She had a deep love for Jesus, her family, and singing. While she loved her children fiercely, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the light of her life. Her love, warmth, and laughter will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Norman Hindman; her son, Danny (Charlotte); and her daughter, Judy. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Courtney (Jessica) Quinn, Kelly (Chase) Dowdy, and Dustin (Lindsey) Quinn; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Camden and Paxton Quinn, and Blakely, Beckett, and Baylor Dowdy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as special friends John and Pat Parks, and Sue (Grady) Carmack and family.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Gadsden Health and Rehab especially Zoe, Moe, and Ashley as well as the compassionate staff of Amedisys Hospice for their loving care.
