Louise Sharpton Vaughan passed away on January 15th, at the age of 98.
Louise was born and raised in Gadsden, Alabama. She lived most of her life in Gadsden except for a few years in Tampa, Florida. She attended Emma Sansom High School and continued her education becoming a practical nurse and later worked as a teacher in a private Christian school.
Louise was a long time member of the Alabama City Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband Fredrick William "Fred" Vaughan, previous husbands Edwards Oscar Valdez. Sr. and Joseph Edward Willingham, Sr., her father Lelias Coleman Sharpton, mother June Moore Sharpton, sister Wanda Eberhard (Melvin), sister Margaret Holland (Fred), brother L.C Sharpton, her daughter Linda Willingham Payne (Ronnie), son Joseph Edward Willingham, Jr., daughter Susan Willingham Crosby (George), and son Edward Oscar Valdes Jr.
She is survived by her sister Peggy Burgess (Calvin), son Jonny Willingham (Sandy), daughter-in-law Peggy Willingham, grandchildren Mary Margaret Roberson (Ray), Bruce Payne (Susan), Janna Payne Bearden (Rick), Dana Willingham Furman, Joseph Edward Willingham III (Mary), Brad Crosby (Angela), Brian Crosby, B.J. Crosby (Jennifer) and Jason Willingham (Carrie), and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
