Funeral service will be 11AM Thursday January 10, at Crestwood Chapel for Louie Donald (Don) Gregory, age 73, Gadsden, who died Tuesday January 8, 2008. Speakers James Gregerson and John West will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Gregory had been employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber from 1972 until 1997 and retired with 25 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed sports, especially Alabama Football.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Gregory; special sister in law Patricia Womack; Brother in law Jimmy Garner; Sister Joyce C. (Billy) Bellew; Nephews Greg Bellew, Birmingham and his children Randi Leigh and Hunter Lee Bellew, Southside; and Jeff and his wife Sue Ann Bellew and their son William Robert Bellew, Gadsden; Niece Beth Bellew, Gadsden; Step Nephews Chris Perry and his fiance Amanda; Joey Oakes and his wife Danielle and daughter Sara, all of Mary Ester, FL.; Special Friends Freddie McGriff and Peggy Taliaferria; Also Many More nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents William (Billy) and Ruth Baird Gregory; Grandparents C.W. and Mary Baird of Albertville, and Arnold and Minnie Gregory of Boaz.
Pallbearers will be Greg Bellew, Jeff Bellew, Freddie McGriff, Jack Casey, Sonny, Bush, and Gary Perry.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his coffee drinking friends and Hunting and Fishing Buddies.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
