Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crestwood Chapel for Loretta M. Loyd, 71, of Attalla, who died March 11, 2012. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct service. Mrs. Loyd was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association Chapter N. She enjoyed fishing and traveling, and had visited many places across the country. She was preceded in death by her parents, H.K. and Ruby Martin of Oroville, Calif.; brothers, Jerold Martin and Winfred Martin, both of Oroville, Calif., and Marvin Martin of Grass Valley, Calif. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Loyd of Attalla; daughter, Rhonda Loyd of Attalla; son, Douglas Loyd, of San Jose, Calif.; sisters, Bonnie Tackett of Galena, Kan., Norma Martin and brother, Carrol Martin, both of Oroville, Calif.; brother-in-law, Ledon (Joan) Loyd of Hokes Bluff; sisters-in-law, Ethel Woolard of Trussville, Brenda Loyd of Gadsden; and many nieces and nephews. The family will accept flowers or donations to the Parkinson's Association. Special thanks to Amedisys Home Health and staff of Attalla Health Care, Riverview Regional Medical Center, RMC Noland Hospital; Dr. H. Patel, Dr. Gary Kwan, Dr. Khusro and Dr. Bogdonava. The family will receive friends at the funeral from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.
