Funeral services for Lorene Privett Laseter, 95, of Glencoe, Alabama will be Wednesday, August 25,2021 at 2:00 PM at Crestwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Crestwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Laseter passed away on August 20, 2021 in Riverview Hospital surrounded by her loving sons. She was born March 15, 1926 to John David and Jessie Pearl Privett of Winston County, Alabama.

After graduation, she meet and married Leon Laseter in 1949 residing in Glencoe most of their married life. She was a loving wife, mother and friend, and was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church Glencoe for 60+years. She lovingly provided food, flowers and visits to her friends and neighbors when they were sick for many years. She was super excited to welcome a great-granddaughter into the family a year ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Leon Laester, sisters; Vener Bartlett, Evie Hood, Lois Privett and  Lena Walden, brothers; Espy Privett, Oral Privett, Luther Privett and Aaron Privett.

Survivors include  her sons; James (Patricia) Laseter of Cullman, Alabama, John Laseter of Glencoe, Alabama ,two grandchildren; Brandon (Shandie) Laseter of Huntsville, Amy (Richard) Husted of Lillian, Alabama and a great granddaughter, Camilla Husted, sister, Dean Steeley, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
