Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm Saturday March 20, at Crestwood Chapel for Loreen C. Rains, age 93, of Little Rock, AR (Formerly of Gadsden) who died Sunday March 14, 2010. Rev. Barney Hudson will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Rains was a resident of Gadsden for 63 years until moving to Arkansas in 1996. She was a member of Gadsden Cumberland Presbyterian Church and OES Chapter 532. She was the librarian for 16 years at the Boys and Girls Club in East Gadsden. She was the daughter of the late Larcus and Candace Culpepper and was also preceded in death by her husband J.T. Rains, three sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her son Bobby J. Rains (Jennie) of Hot Springs Village, AR; daughter Shirley Cornett (Harold), of Davie, FL; grandchildren Catherine Fox(Andrew) of Tulsa, OK, Michael Cornett(Joyce) of Cumming, GA, Robert Rains (Jennifer)of Mayflower, AR and Stacey Rains of North Little Rock, AR; Great Grandchildren Lauren and Elizabeth Fox, Daniel Cornett, and Gracie Rains; sister in law Evelyn Rains; several nieces, nephews, and cousins- all dearly loved.

Pallbearers will be Robert Rains, Michael Cornett, Andrew Fox, Glen Thompson, Kenneth Rains, and Darwin Kennedy.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from noon until the hour of service.
