Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Lois Barger, age 93, of Gadsden, who died Saturday. Reverend Jack Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home in charge of services.
Mrs. Barger loved the Lord and was a longtime member of East Gadsden Church of God, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years. She was a talented seamstress and loved quilting.
She could look at a dress in the store and go home and make it. She loved flowers and adored her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband W.H. Barger, son Roy Charles Barger and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by children E. Jean (Jerry) Elser, Terry (Linda) Barger, Diane Herring, Danny (Candice) Barger; daughter-in-law Frankie Barger; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews who were all dear to her. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kindred Hospice of Anniston.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
