Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery for Mr. Lloyd Lavane Sewell, age 80, Hokes Bluff, who died Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Rev. Harvey Beck will officiate. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Sewell was a member of Hokes Bluff United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Hokes Bluff Masonic Lodge #470. He was a member of the Zomora Shrine in Irondale. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jess and Nellie Sewell.
He is survived by his daughter: Tanice Hinton; sons: Lex (Nancy) Sewell, Steve (Kathy) Sewell and Todd (Missy) Sewell; step-daughter: Vicki Crosly; grandchildren: Justin Hinton, Cassidy Sewell and Brandi Tucker; sisters: Treva (A.D.) Smith and Martha (Charles) Starr; niece: Charlean Starr; nephew: Scott (Tina) Smith; special friend: Josie Chappell
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zamora Shrine or your favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
