Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Lisa Hicks, 55, Gadsden, who passed away Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016. The Rev. David Hammett will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Lisa will be remembered as a devout Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She had a love for animals, especially her three parrots, Smiley, Cappy and ChiChi, and her miniature Doberman Pinscher, Tinker Bell. She was a loving person and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; son, Robert; parents, J.P. and Rita Cornutt; and numerous other loved ones.
She is survived by daughter, Elizabeth Smith; sons, Jason Hicks, Michael (Mandy) Hicks and Richard Hicks; grandchildren, Robert Hicks, Nichole Hicks and Brian Hicks; chosen daughter, Danielle Woodard; chosen sisters, Lita Nelson and Minyon Crain; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Omar) Villanueva, Stacy (Jason) Andrews, Shainne Dingler, Hannah Dingler and Karen Dingler; and a large extended family.
Special thanks to Billy Wise, her daughter, Elizabeth, nieces and nephews, friends, Lita, Danielle and Ellis (Dorothy) Rosser.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Monday until the time of service.
