Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Crestwood Chapel for Lisa Battles, 44, who died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014. The Rev. William Tittle will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home in charge of services.
Lisa will be remembered for her kindness. At her birth, the family was told she wouldn't live past six months, and, if she did, she wouldn't be capable of learning much of anything. Lisa proved them wrong by giving us 44 wonderful years of life. She also attended school all the way to college level. She loved everybody and everybody loved her. She was also very fond of animals and cared for several. She will be dearly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Battles and Edith Battles Worley.
She is survived by her beloved fianc, Dwayne Wiggins; sisters and brothers, Linda (Billy Wayne) Patterson, Donna Lee (Joe) Sutterley, Greg (Connie) Battles, Phillip (Kim) Battles, Hoyt Battles; four nieces; and six nephews; special friend, Allison Galbreath; and a large extended family.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary pallbearer: Jack Worley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. -
