Linda Diane Davis, 79, passed away on October 8, 2026. She was born on February 19, 1947.
Linda Diane Davis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 8, 2026. She will be remembered for her loving heart, wonderful sense of humor, and the special way she always made sure those around her were cared for and loved.
Linda was raised in Southside, Alabama, and graduated from Southside High School. She later earned a degree from Gadsden Business College. Following her marriage to Jerry Davis, Linda devoted herself to raising their two sons as a stay-at-home mother before eventually entering the workforce, where she worked for Woodco and later Kmart.
Linda had a gift for making people smile. She loved telling jokes, sharing a laugh, and making sure everyone was doing okay. She had a heart that always put family and friends first, finding joy in caring for others and making those she loved feel special. Her love was especially evident in the kitchen, where she enjoyed cooking and baking for family gatherings. Nothing made her happier than bringing everyone together around a home-cooked meal. She also delighted in creating special pancakes and handmade or personalized items for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always finding little ways to make them feel loved and cherished. These thoughtful gestures, along with her warmth and humor, created precious memories that her family will carry with them always.
Linda's love for her family was evident in everything she did, and her presence brought comfort, laughter, and happiness to those fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and treasured family traditions. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlis Payne Thomas Bohanon and Willie Oscar Thomas; and her brother, Sonny Thomas.
Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband, Jerry L. Davis; her sons, Brian (Angie) Davis and Daryl (Anita) Davis; her grandchildren, Hunter and Logan Davis, Hannah and Tyler Beegle, Jordan Davis, Ashley Eaton, and Madison Fleming; her great-grandchildren, Mattie Kayle Davis, Brooks Davis, Jaxson and Emmie Grace Beegle, and Mason Beegle; her brothers, David (Rhonda) Bohanon and Dennis (Cathy) Bohanon; her sister, Katherine Smith; her sisters-in-law, Sharon Thomas, Myrtle Davis, and Betty Sue Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Gentiva Hospice for the compassionate care and support provided to Linda and her loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Craig Reynolds will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Davis, Brooks Davis, Jordan Davis, Tyler Beegle, and Jaxson Beegle.
