Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Lillian Cornelius Johnson, 90, Gadsden, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016.
She went to heaven quietly surrounded by her family. The Revs. Wayne White, Huey Bowen and Billy Ramsey will officiate.
Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved flowers and working in her vegetable garden.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in South Gadsden.
She was a church pianist for 78 years.
She was the absolute life of any party or gathering. Her laughter and smile will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by parents Jim and Della White, Aroney; five sisters and one brother; and husband, Dee Cornelius, Gadsden.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Johnson, Gadsden; four sons and one daughter, Patricia (Jack) Brewer, Southside, Don (Judy) Cornelius, Southside, Rick (Sharon) Cornelius, Altoona, Keith (Betty) Cornelius, Altoona, Gaylon (Page) Cornelius, Bremen, Georgia; two sisters, Geneva Bowen, Aroney, and Omelia O'Dell, Aroney; brother, Nealie White, Crossville; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons of Mrs. Cornelius-Johnson.
