Funeral services will be at 10AM Monday at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Lemuel C. (L.C.) Sizemore age 86, of Gadsden who died at his home on Wednesday, December 5, 2007. Revs. Van Lockridge and Vince Whittington will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Sizemore was born in Etowah County in 1921, he later served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. After attending the University of Alabama, he returned to Gadsden. There he married and raised his family, while working in the insurance industry. He ministered in North Alabama and Tennessee. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glencoe. He was preceded in death by his siblings; Dennis, R.E., Minus, Christine, and Agnes.
He is survived by his wife; Dean W. Sizemore; daughter, Peggy (David) Hodge; grandchildren; Chas (Cassandra) Midgley, Michael (Erica) Hodge, and Allison Hodge; great-grandaughter; Carter Midgley.
In-Lieu-of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Glencoe or Amedisys Hospice.
