A CHAIN HAS BEEN BROKEN
In Childersburg Alabama, on January 31,1924,Eddie Swain and Bessie Dates Swain were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Louise. She became part of 16 children born to the Swain Family.
Louise enjoyed her childhood as a student at Phyllis Wheatley School. At an early age, she moved to Chicago where she worked for The United Postal Service as well as in the healthcare field. After the loss of her husband Ed Bennett, she moved to Gadsden ,where she got a job at Spring Valley Poultry Plant in East Gadsden and remained there till her retirement.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Bessie Swain, five brothers, six sisters and several nieces and nephews with the most recent nephew being James Samuel Swain.
She leaves to cherish her memory four sisters, Earline Hitt of Gadsden, Pearline Walker of Columbia Alabama, Bessie Strickland and Rubye Reynolds both of Gadsden Alabama and a host of nieces and nephews.
