Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home for Mr. Larry Don Goode, 65, of Glencoe, who died on Saturday, June 29, 2013. He was a member of Faith Worship Center in Glencoe, and the Rev. Mark Gidley will officiate. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Goode was a graduate of Glencoe High School Class of 1966. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era as a SP 5 Flight Engineer. He coached the girls 15 and under state championship softball team, Allen Diesel in 1983, of which both of his daughters played. He was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., where he was an Area Supervisor, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Edna Goode.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Goode; his daughters, Leslie (John) Evans, Kimberly (Dennis) Wolfe and Angela (Heath) Bolton; granddaughters, Kassidy (John) Hollis, Haley (Brandon) Harcrow, Kennedy Brown, Hannah Evans, Mackenzie, Madison and Hayden Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Kaelyn, Jaxon and Klaiton Hollis and coming soon baby boy Harcrow; sister, Debbie (Kerry Lee) Johnson; and numerous aunts, nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Faith Worship Center, Glencoe, parking lot fund.
Pallbearers will be Darrel Dunn, David Morris, Kerry Lee Johnson, Danny Goode, Michael Goode, Jonathon Goode, Jeff Goode and R.J. Rampey.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home.
