Obituary

Funeral services will be 12 pm Friday May 7,2021 at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Larry Eugene Cassady, age 72, who died Monday. Reverend David Hayes will officiate . Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home announcing.

Larry was born and raised in Gadsden Al. He moved to Chattanooga Tn. to go to college and pursue his career as a teacher while he worked at Parisian's at Hamilton Place Mall. Larry was a former school teacher, and worked in the school system for years in Chattanooga where he then retired. He loved teaching, it was his passion. He made many friends over the years and was a very loving and giving man. He moved to Cedartown Ga. to be with his family a few years back, and most recently resided in Rome Ga. at Riverwood assisted living.

He will be greatly loved and missed.

Mr. Cassady was preceded in death by parents Dorothy Cassady and Bob (Fran) Cassady , and sister Linda Fender.

He is survived by sisters Carolyn Sauls and Cheryl Hurr, brother in law Alvin Sauls, nieces Kristin Blankenship and Monica Sauls, nephew John Blankenship, great nieces and nephews Kayleigh Sauls, Kyle Glover, Noah Rosenthal and Bryce Blankenship.A memorial service will be announced at a later date for friends in the Chattanooga Area.
