Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m.Monday at Crestwood Funeral Home for Lana Carol Bryan Kilpatrick, 65, Gadsden, Alabama who died January 18, 2019, surrounded by her children. Pastor Joey Hanner will officiate. A private family burial will be held at Lebanon Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Ms. Kilpatrick was a graduate of Gaston High School and Jacksonville State University and a member of Union #3 Baptist Church, Hokes Bluff. She is remembered by many because of her vibrant and irrepressible personality. She She found great joy in being a friend, mother, and grandmother to many.
She is proceeded in death by her husband of 38 years, Kenneth Kilpatrick; her parents, Charles and Mina Bryan; and mother and father-in-law, Orell and Sybil Kilpatrick. Ms. Kilpatrick is survived by her children, Kevin (Kriszti) Kilpatrick, Kimberly (Scott) Fells, and Kasey (Tarrah) Kilpatrick; her step-son Brian (Jennifer) Kilpatrick; her chosen child, Bradley Barnes; her grandchildren, Noah Kilpatrick, Ben Kilpatrick, Lincoln Kilpatrick, Sawyer Kilpatrick, Jake Ede, Gracie Ede, Hunter Fells, Macy Fells, and Lani Fells; her brother, Ronnie Bryan.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Barnes, Jake Ede, Scott Fells, Brian Kilpatrick, Ben Kilpatrick, and Noah Kilpatrick.
Special thanks to the SICU medical staff at UAB Hospital.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 21, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life in the chapel.
