Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today at Crestwood Chapel for Ladue J. Freeman, 87, Gadsden, who died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011. Entombment will be in Crestwood Mausoleum. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct service. Mr. Freeman had retired from Jones, Blair, Waldrop and Tucker Construction. He was a very special and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and was truly the rock that held them all together. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Irene Freeman; daughter, "Daddy's Girl" Kathylyn Guyton; grandchildren, "Papaw's Little Toot" Jennifer (David) Barlow, Jessica (Chris) Simmons, Shawn Guyton, Zachary Guyton, Michelle Stephens and Delynn Freeman; great-grandchildren, Drew, Jennah, Danielle, Bridgett, Derek, Devin, Zachary Jr., Devin, Lashay, Destiny, Darin and Dawson; and great-great-grandchild, Kalia. He is preceded in death by his son, Larry Freeman; daughter, Donna Mathis; parents, Jessie and Nettie Freeman; and brothers, Kenneth and Thomas Freeman.
