Funeral for Kim Gray, 51, of Glencoe, who died Friday September 25, was at 11 a.m. Tuesday,September 29, 2015 at Crestwood Chapel. Revs. Frank Samuels and Anthony Gomez officiated. Burial was at Crestwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Gray was employed by Family Savings Credit Union for many years. She loved all things Alabama, especially football. Kim enjoyed traveling to Florida to see her daughter and granddaughter and was truly her daughter Lexi's biggest sports fan. She was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Glencoe. Kim was a loving wife, mother, granna, daughter and sister. Kim will be remembered for her strength, courage, love of her family and her faithful smile. She was an inspiration to many and a friend to all.
Kim is survived by husband, Billy Todd Gray; daughters, Ashley and Lexi; stepchildren, Ryan, Ragan, Blake and Whitney (fianc, Britt); sister, Mandy (Jeff) Vice; brother, Jeff Jester; grandchildren, Leah, Kinslee, Braylon, Grayson and Talyn; special niece, Heather (Karry) Ables; mother, Carolyn Jester; father, Jimmy Jester; grandmother, Hildia Bynum; father- and mother-in-law, Billy Jack and Glenda Gray; and a large extended family.
Pallbearers were Jeff Vice, Ryan Gray, Blake Gray, Britt Gunnison, Jeff McWilliams, Eric Batista, Josh Fordham, Tony Viera, Karry Ables and Randy Alverson.
Honorary pallbearers are employees of Family Savings Credit Union.
Kim survived breast cancer with the loving support of numerous people, including fellow survivors, Lisa Hilburn and Tricia Noah.
The family extended their gratitude to Dr. Lucian Newman III, Dr. Cesar Fernandez, Dr. Thomas Rumley, Dr. Elquis Castillo, Dr. Lowndes Harrison and the staff of the Critical Care Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center.
Donations may be made to Gadsden Regional Cancer Center in memory of Kim Gray.
The family received friends on Monday at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
