Funeral services for Reverend Kenneth Brown, age 83, of Attalla, will be 2 pm Friday, at Crestwood Chapel. Keith Christopher, Glen Christopher and Kevin Norton will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.
Kenneth was a Navy Veteran, a 50 year Mason Member and an Eagle Scout. He was the retired director of Way Of The Cross Soup Kitchen, serving for over 20 years. Kenneth was an entrepreneur of several businesses, including 22 years as owner of The Muffler Center and Kenmar Exhaust. He pastored for 50 plus years in Etowah County and surrounding areas.
He was most known for his kindness and love he showed everyone he met, especially the homeless. He had a love for his family and friends that will forever be embedded in their hearts. He set the goal high for his family to follow. He will be missed and we know Heaven has gained a special man.
He is preceded in death by daughter Rhonda Martin and son Maurice Christopher.
He leaves behind a wife of 25 years Margaret Brown, sons: Kenny (Andrea) Brown, Keith (Barbara) Christopher, Glen (Joni) Christopher, daughter Sabrina (Brian) Bottomly, special daughters Frieda, Frankie and Patsy, son in law Darryl Martin and 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Way Of The Cross Soup Kitchen.101 N. 24th Ave, Gadsden Al 35904. Special thanks to Home Health and the Doctors and nurses of the 7th floor staff. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12 pm until the time of service.
