Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home for Kay Frances Evers, age 80, of Boaz, formally Gadsden. Who died Saturday June 8, 2024. Larry Perkins will officiate burial at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home is in Charge.
Kay will be remembered as a Christian first. Kay wanted everyone to know Jesus loves them and he is coming back for us all. Ms. Evers was a fantastic cook and enjoyed gardening, but her greatest love was her family and grandchildren, whom she adored. Her last wish was to tell everyone she loves them dearly. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all and will be dearly missed.
Preceded by her husband H. W. Evers and brother R. J. Graves, sister Betty Jean Harris, chosen sister Judy Garmon.
Ms. Evers is survived by her son Kenneth (Deanna) Evers, daughter Tammy Kay Barber, eleven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sister Glenda Hayes, sister Jean Griffith and a large extended family.
Honorary pallbearers are family and friends, special thanks to the staff of Shepherd's Cove Hospice.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-7 pm at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home
