Funeral will be 3 pm Friday at Dwight Baptist Church for Mrs. Kathryn "Faye" Sprayberry age 85 of Gadsden who died Tuesday. Reverend Justin Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Faye was a loving wife and mother. She was an exceptional seamstress. She was a longtime member of Dwight Baptist Church. Faye was a devoted Christian who faithfully served the Lord.
She was preceded in death by parents H.E. and Lollie McPherson, sister Annette Ferguson, and brother James Robert McPherson.
Faye is survived by her husband of 67 years James L. Sprayberry, son Terry(Sheila) Sprayberry of Dothan, daughters Linda(Charles) Simonton, Susan(Tim )Grimes both of Gadsden, Kathryn (Virgil) Winslett of Springville. Grandchildren Christy Linginfelter, Angeila Scarborough, Gina Lockridge, Jeffrey Simonton, James Grimes, Laura O'hara, Rachel Grimes, Allie Winslet, Jon-Evan Winslett and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brother in-law Dr. Joe Ferguson and sister in law Sherrie McPherson.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Simonton, James Grimes, Austin Lockridge, Andrew Lockridge, Adam Scarborough and Ronnie Linginfelter.
