Graveside services will be on Wednesday January 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Crestwood Cemetery for Mrs. Kathryn Pruitt Slaten, age 80, of Gadsden who passed away on January 2, 2020. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Slaten was always active in her church at James Memorial Baptist where she was a Sunday School teacher. She loved football, gardening, and flowers. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her father Truman Edward Pruitt, mother Oma Faye Pruitt, and brother Bobby Dale Pruitt.

Mrs. Slaten is survived by her loving husband of fifty nine years Edward Slaten, daughter Dana(David) Whitworth, and grandson Brent Edward Irwin.
