Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Kate Larue "Totsie" Jones , age 92 of Gadsden who died Thursday. Reverend Roger Collis will officiate. Burial will be in Gallant Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home announcing.
She will be remembered for her kindness and consideration for others , didn't want to burden anybody with anything, always "oh that's too much trouble" was her motto, even when you were willing. She cared for all, and never forgot a "Thank You card" for anything you might have done. She was loved and will be missed.
She is preceded in death by husband Amos J. "Bill" Jones, parents Epp and Vida Barnett, sister Ilean Louise Barnett and brother William J.C. Barnett.
She is survived by nephew Charles Barnett and special friend Syble Clough, chosen grandchildren Carrie(Jerry ) Works, Andy Quinn and family great grands Katie and Alex Works ,Cheryl Hill and family and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to The staffs of UAB Hospital and Palative Care, Woodland Place and Annette Pruitt and all her caregivers who were so special to her.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 pm until the time of service.
