Funeral services will be 4 pm Thursday at Crestwood Chapel for Ms. Karen Jean Barclay age 40 of Ohatchee who died Saturday December 30, 2017. Reverend Joe Cosby will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home announcing.

Karen Jean Barclay, 40 of Ohatchee Alabama went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her loved ones on December 30,2017. She graduated from Gadsden State Community College with a medical assistant certification. She most recently worked as a receptionist at Dr. Roland Cook's office.

She was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Lincoln Alabama. She loved spending time with kids ,family and  friends. Her favorite vacation spot was at the beach.

She is survived by her parents Don and Jean Jennings, her children Jasmine, Hunter Destiny and Kelli Anna Barclay, stepdaughter Chelsea Jackson, grandchildren Raeleigh and Harper Jackson.

Special thanks to the Turner family and all of our friends and family who have prayed, donated and cooked meals for us during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to The American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 2 pm until the time of service.
