Funeral services will be Friday, September 25, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Joy E. "Granny Joy" Robertson, age 79, of Glencoe, who died on Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Rev. J.B. Wells will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Robertson was a member of Louis Street Baptist Church. She was a member of the Willing Worker's Sunday School Class and a member of the W.M.U. Women's Mission. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Robertson, Sr.; a granddaughter, Tracy Rhene Robertson; and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Richard E. (Wanda) Robertson, Jr., Rodney (Susan) Robertson, Tim (Kelly) Robertson, Vanessa (Jeff) Read, Darryl (Crysta) Robertson, Marsha (Bobby) Smith; grandchildren, Chad Robertson, Jill Robertson, Shane Nunn, Tim Nunn, Jason Nunn, Timeka Robertson, Dalton Robertson, Lauren (Mason) Rule, Kacy Joy Read, Tyler (Whitney) Read, Landon Robertson, John Cade Robertson and Mollie Smith; great grandchildren, Dax Nunn, Chloe Rule, Eric Rule and Peyton Rule; and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Pallbearers will be family.
