Funeral services will be at 1pm today, Thursday October 9, 2014 at Crestwood Chapel for Jonell Gaskin, age 82, of Gadsden who died on Tuesday October 7, 2014. Rev. Alan Hallmark will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Jonell's birthday is today and she is celebrating in heaven with her husband Jack. If she could she would be with her four children and their family, and having fun and genjoying her wonderful recipes. She was a longtime member of Whitesboro Baptist Church. A devoted christian wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Emmett "Jack" Gaskin and parents Otis and Maybell Sutton Amos.
She is survived by her daughters Sharion (Dennis) Leverton and Vicki (Ricky) Brown; sons Philip (Regina) Gaskin, and Greg (Sandra) Gaskin; Grandchildren Amy (Darel) Walker, Kristi (Lucas) Hallmark, Nick (Jessica) Gaskin, Kelli (Beau) Bridwell, and Morgan and Chelsea Gaskin; Great Grandchildren Hannah and Sarah Beth Hallmark, Jordan Walker, Jill Gaskin, Brayden Bridwell, Gunnar Gaskin, Isabella Gaskin, and sister Sandra Jenkins.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
