Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Crestwood Chapel for Johnny Nesbitt, 80, of Gadsden, who died December 12, 2015. Pastors Tim Warren and Richard Letherwood will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
Mr. Nesbitt was a loving husband and father. He was a proud veteran who worked hard for everything he had in life. Johnny was a friend to all who ever knew him.
He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Nesbitt Sr.; and grandson, Adam Nesbitt.
Mr. Nesbitt is survived by his wife, JoAnn Nesbitt; sons, Timmy (Ashley) Nesbitt, Danny Nesbitt and Johnny Nesbitt; daughters, Theresa (David) Brown, Rose (Johnny) Cain and Angie (David) Harden; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Cecil (Yvonne) Nesbitt; sister, Marie Hayes; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Russel Nesbitt, Eric Williams, Shawn Nesbitt, Phillip Nesbitt, Tyler Nesbitt and Joey Taylor.
Honorary Pallbearers are Andrew Nesbitt, Ben Taylor, Willie Taylor and Aaron Nesbitt.
The family will accept friends from noon on Monday until the time of the service.
