Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Johnnie Mae Studdard age 93, of Gadsden who died Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Rev. Larry Garrard will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
She was born in Mt. Vernon, AL and lived her entire life in Marshall and Etowah counties. She was a direct descendant of early settlers of the Marshall and Etowah county area. She loved to garden, raising beautiful flowers which she cut and displayed throughout her home. Each person who met her was blessed by her positive influence. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years William "Bill" E. Studdard; granddaughter, Tina Michele Patterson; four sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her sons, William E. Studdard and Garry (Deborah) Studdard; daughter, Patricia (Gerald) Poe; grandchildren, Ronnie, Michael, Pamela, Connie, Kim, Gerri, Jeremy, and Brandy; nine great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; sister, Nelda Dyer; and special friend, Ruth Bryant.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Friday at the funeral home.
