Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Crestwood Chapel for John Henry "Big Daddy" Voge, 83, Glencoe, who died February 5, 2009. Rev. Jim Ray of McBee Baptist Church, Columbus, MS will officiate.
Mr. Voge was a WWII Veteran. He was a loving husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was of the Baptist faith. In his younger years he was an avid fisherman. He was loved by everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, C.J. Lyons.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Hazel, 2 daughters, Wanda (Ashley) Lyons; Cindy (George) Vowell, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be accepting flowers and memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
