John D. Morgan, age 74, passed away on February 24, 2025. A funeral service will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 1 p.m. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tommy Ferguson will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.

John will be remembered as a hardworking and devoted provider for his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and even scuba diving, but most of all, he will be remembered as a faithful Christian. He worked at Goodyear for 42 years. Goodyear Heights will miss their beloved greeter, and usher who always ensured the church was locked and ready for the next service. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to all and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Mavis Morgan, and his grandson, Jackson Cole Morgan.

John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anita; children, Jason Morgan, Mellissa (Brent) Harris, and Daniel (Kristin) Morgan; grandchildren, Jaden, Isaac, Isabella, Piper, Lucas, Rowan, Morgan, and Suzanna; brother, Joe (Becky) Morgan; sister, Jane (Allen) Frazier; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will accept flowers and memorial donations to the Goodyear Heights building fund. They would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his Goodyear Heights church family, the Gadsden Regional MICU third-floor nurses, especialy Oakley Patterson, and all of John's coworkers.
