John William Meader's Obituary
A Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Riverview Baptist Church for John William Meader, 82, of Rainbow City. Dr. Matt Morrison will officiate. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of services.
John was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He had graduated from high school in Heidelberg, Germany, and attended MIT. He was a professor of chemical engineering at Worchester Polytechnic, Mass. He was a member of Theta XI fraternity.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Meader; son, John L. Meader; daughter, Elizabeth Krouse; grandson, Dodson Krouse; and brother, Glenn S. Meader Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SPCA Animal Rescue League.
