A graveside service will be at 11 AM Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery for John Glenn McClain, age 65, of Rainbow City, Alabama. Mr. McClain passed away on Sunday, February4, 2024. Pastor Noland Jackson will officiate. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct services.

John was a class of 1976 graduate of Southside High School. He had retired from Goodyear with 25 years of service. He enjoyed traveling and fishing.

John is preceded in death by his father John Lewis McClain; sister June Evon Bailey; grandparents Dallas and Marietta Parker; and father in law Guy Edward Hester.

He is survived by his wife Kimberly Hester; stepchildren Jon Sims and Amanda Armstrong; grandchildren Alyssa Elliott, Jordan Elliott, and Sophia Sims; mother Betty Jane Brothers; mother in law Audrey Hester; and special friends Ted Rich, David Smith, and Tim Farlow.

Honorary pallbearers are all members of Belmont Baptist Church, Conyers, GA.

The family would like to express their special thanks to the nurses and staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially Shakirah El-Min , Brittany Ellison and Chaplin Bob Hundley, as well as his caregivers Brittany Brown and Angel Pritchett.

There will be no visitation, everyone will meet at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery for the service.
