Funeral Service will be at 1PM Wednesday January 31, 2024 at Crestwood Chapel for John
"J.W."Kilgore, age 74 of Boaz. Mr. Kilgore passed away on Monday January 29, 2024. Jason Gillilan will
officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.
John will be remembered as a loving family man who enjoyed hunting, fishing,Nascar, and Alabama
football. He had a great sense of humor and gave everyone and everything a nickname and was loaded
with clever one-liners. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Catherine Kilgore and brother in law Tony Gray.
He is survived by his sons Jeff ( Leigh) Kilgore and Chris (Miranda) Kilgore; grandchildren Katie Kilgore,
Evan Tarvin, and Noah Tarvin; siblings Kenny (Sabrina) Kilgore, Janice Gray, and Robert (Beth) Kilgore;
and nephews Jason Gladden, Kevin Gladden, and Jacob Kilgore.
Pallbearers will be Evan Tarvin, Noah Tarvin, Jason Garmany, Kevin Gladden, Jason Gladden, and Chris
Hale.
Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Farley and Dale Bryant.
The family would like to express their special thanks to the nurses and staff of Shepherd's Cove Hospice
and Rehab Select of Albertville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 am until the hour of service.
