Graveside services will be 3 pm Friday at Crestwood Cemetery for John Harold "Johnny" Bridges age 66 of Gadsden who died Wednesday June 3. Reverend Philip Messner will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral home is in charge of services.

Johnny was a devoted family man who loved his daughter and her mother Sherry more than words could say. He loved Auburn Football, New York Yankees Baseball and golf anytime, anywhere he could play. He loved his sisters Delite and Joy and was a friend to all. He will be dearly missed. He was a generous man who would give you the shirt off his back. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by parents John H. "Happy" Bridges Sr. and Ruth Bridges.

He is survived by daughter Ellen Bridges, sisters Delite (Robert) Cruit and Joy(Bill) Pevsner, Sherry Bridges, aunt Grace Temple; niece Stephanie(Rob) Bowley, great nieces Taylor, Rachel and Cameron, great nephew Robby Bowley, and cherished friends Mallory Morgan and Emily Patterson.

Pall bearers will be Eddie Cunningham, Jimmy Walker, Barney Leach, Harold Turner, David Gregerson, Billy Don Tuck, Gene Hulgan, Jeremy Reeves, Thomas "Cubby" Culberson, Bill Jackson, Chris Heaton and Jim Bloomquist.

Honorary pall bearers are Mike, Tony and Jimmy Armstrong, Blake and Blair Temple, Dr. H.B. Thompson and Dr. Lucian Newman III .
