Dodd, John Funeral service will be 3:00pm Sunday at Crestwood Chapel for John Dodd, age 92, of Gadsden, who went to be with the Lord on Friday November 9, 2007. Revs. Ken Whisenant and Jack Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Dodd was a member of Parkway Community Church. He served as a cook and Medic in the U.S. Army. He had worked for Merita Bakery and retired from Flowers Bakery. He is preceded in death by his wife, Laura Ruth Dodd. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Herb) Morris; Grandchildren, John Paul Morris, Daphne, AL, Michael Morris, Huntsville and Kellie ( Keith) Edwards; Great Grandchildren, Savannah, Ethan, and Bailey Edwards; Sisters, Hazel (Hoyt) Baswell, Granite Falls, North Carolina, Thelma Bowling, Florida, Ethelyn (Charlie) Fuqua, Florida, Margaret Allee, Gadsden; Brothers, Wayne ( Clela) Dodd and Gene (Judy) Dodd, Ashville,. Brother in law, Sanford (Maxie) McCulough,Ashville, Special Nephew, Larry McCullough, Trussville; Many Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
