Joan Freeman Phillips age 95 of Gadsden died Friday February 3,2023 peacefully in her home.She was a native of Blount County,but lived in Gadsden for most of her life. She was a longtime member of Goodyear Heights Baptist Church. She spent most of her working career in retail sales at Ike Saks and Belks. She was well known for her beautiful skin and youthful looks which she worked faithfully on and was very proud of the results she achieved. She was the oldest of 6 sisters.

She is preceded in death by the father of her children Jerome Freeman ,son B.J. Freeman ,daughter Sheila Freeman Nix and sisters Bonnie Jones and Ramona Harmon.

She is survived by grandsons Rusty(Stephanie) Freeman,Dusty(Daphne) Freeman, Jamie Freeman, Stephen(Amy) Nix and granddaughter Andi Nix.son in law Johnny Nix ,10 great grands and 1 great great grand,chosen daughters Kristie Graham and Nancy Laconto and sisters Elaine Neese, Carolyn Owens and Brenda(Mike) Jackson.

There will be a private Memorial service to announced at a later date.
