Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday, at Crestwood Chapel, for Mr. J.L. Ragan, age 86, of Gadsden, who  Died Tuesday. Allen Ragan and Chris Ragan will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.

Mr. Ragan will be remembered as a very hardworking man, who loved his family dearly. He was a proud Military retiree who served and retired as a United States Marine earning 2 Purple Hearts. He and his Wife Jeannette enjoyed traveling whenever and wherever they could go. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Amy Wilson and parents Allen and Velma Ragan.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Jeannette, children Frank(Paula), Wayne(Dianna),Allan(Deborah), Ragan, Velma Bagley, Eileen(Terry) Williams, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 am until the time of service.
