Obituary

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 10 th at lOam at Crestwood
Cemetery for Jimmy Frank Braddy, 77, of Gadsden who died Monday, October
8th. Services will be conducted by Jimmy's grandson, Jay Boatwright.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Willie Stevens Braddy;
sisters Betty Braddy Wilson, and Robin Kay Braddy; in-laws, Lee and Chlone
Harwood.

Survivors include, wife of almost 59 years Keatha Harwood Braddy, daughters Jill
Braddy Boatwright and Mandy Braddy (Jimmy) Easterwood; beloved
Grandchildren, Jay and Nathan Boatwright, Luke, Kylee and Adam Easterwood.
Special sister-in-law and nephews Betty and Glenn Jackson and Fred Wilson;
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jimmy.was born on his grandmother Stevens's farm in Albertville, Alabama on
July 13, 1941. He grew up in North Gadsden and was a proud grandson of the
Rev. Lonnie Braddy, Sr., a well-respected Baptist preacher. He attended Gadsden
High School and the Alabama School of Trades. Throughout his life, Jimmy had a
great love of fishing. He was a well-known angler in the area and won many bass
tournaments through the years. Jimmy retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber
Plant after 33 years' service. He was a member of the Goodyear Local 12, where
he served as a union representative for many years. At an early age, Jimmy
became a born-again Christian. He loved to read and study the Bible. He was a
member of Brierwood Hills Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for
many years. He also led Bible studies at Goodyear on his breaks, where he was a
good witness for the Lord. Jimmy's family was the most important part of his life.
He loved "his girls," Keatha, Jill and Mandy and they will miss him tremendously.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, son-in-law, and nephew Glenn Jackson.

Special thanks to sister-in-law Betty Harwood Jackson, Comfort Care Hospice,
Erin Morgan, nurses and aides McKenzie, Nicole, Latisha and to the many friends
and family who have sent their thoughts and prayers through the last few months.
