Memorial for J.G. Kramer, age 73, will be at The Church at Canoe Creek (5038 Rainbow Drive,
Rainbow City, Alabama) on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1 pm. Robert C. Smith will officiate. Burial
will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
J.G. attended Tarrant High School and Samford University. In 1988, J.G and Elizabeth were
married. He was actively involved in the UFCCM for many years and became an ordained bishop
in 2009. He mentored many fellow believers over the course of his life.
He is proceeded in death by his mother Marie E. Smith, his father James A. Smith, Sr., and the
following siblings – James A. Smith, Jr., Alma Jean Smith-Banks, and Albert L. Smith.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, her children – Rebecca J. Kreps, Rachel, Paul, Paul's wife
Jessica, and her grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Robert C. Smith and sister-in-
law Pam as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
