Jettie Ruth Lumpkin (95), born May 18, 1927, met her Savior face to face on May 6, 2023. She is fully alive, singing at the throne of Jesus.

Jettie Ruth is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sarah (Carroll) Lumpkin. She is also survived by her grandson, Jamie (Catie), and her granddaughter, Julie Sasse (Nathan). She additionally leaves a legacy of eight great-grandchildren: Caleb (19), Benjamin (17), Daniel (15), Bentley Hope (11), Ayla Joy (10), Joshua (9), Samantha Joy (6), and Isaac (6).

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Columbus Corthel "Buster" Lumpkin; her parents, Henry and Maude Eubanks; her sisters, Annis Forman and Roammie Lang; her brother, Clyde Eubanks; and her cherished son, Eddie Lumpkin.

Jettie Ruth lived to make sure those around her knew they were loved by God. She worked at and ultimately retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant. Apart from her family, her greatest delight was singing for God's glory. Mrs. Lumpkin worked to organize "Gospel Singings" all over the state of Alabama for many years. In 1995, Jettie Ruth served as Mrs. Senior Etowah County, where she shared her passion for glorifying God through music. Three days before entering heaven, she sang the Gaither song, "Something's Got a Hold of Me" for friends surrounding her. More than anything, Jettie Ruth loved Jesus and was about His business. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Celebration of Life arrangements are as follows: Family and friends' visitation at 3 PM, May 11th, at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4. Reverend Tommy Ferguson will officiate.
