Born June 29, 1936 in Glencoe, Alabama, Dad graduated from Glencoe High School in 1955. After graduation he joined the United States Navy. Returning to Glencoe, he worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company retiring on disability. As a true entrepreneur he was always looking for business opportunities, some of which included obtaining a Series 6 securities license, owning various businesses including a flooring and hardware store. Eventually he found his love of real estate. He obtained a real estate license and worked for Bone and Ina Black Realty. He was flipping houses before 'flipping' was a thing. His true personal passion was serving the Lord and outreach to non-believers to know Jesus Christ. He was an active member in the Foley, East Gadsden and Glencoe Churches of Christ. One of his proudest accomplishments was being a founding Elder of the Glencoe Church of Christ with his brother Maurice Hill and Joe Brown.
Dad had a good life and we thank him for the many years of toil and sacrifice in raising us boys. All through our lives Dad was only a phone call away. Now God has given you Peace and the rest you needed. We love you and will see you again in Heaven.
Pallbearers: Allen Ambrose, Drew Geurin, Michael Hill Jr., Reid Hill, Scott Hill and Jake Lancaster.
Special thanks to Bill Nichols State Veteran's Home Staff for all they did to help and care for Dad.
