Jennifer Brown McGinnis, 72, passed away on September 4th, 2026. Born on January 22, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Jeanette Brown and the sister of the late Larry Brown.

Jenny was a loving mother and fierce protector to her sons, Josh, Jeremy and Adam Barfield. She is also survived by her only grandson, Blaine Barfield, whom she loved and protected with the same fierce devotion.

She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Riverview Regional Medical Center, but her heart was truly in the nursing homes where she cared for long-term patients. There she formed genuine connections and found deep purpose in helping those who needed her most.

Jenny’s faith was a guiding force in her life. She had a fierce spirit and never backed down from a challenge. She loved to travel, camp, and fish, and she never met a stranger. Above all, she sacrificed much for her family, always putting their needs ahead of her own.

She will be remembered for her fierce spirit, her big heart, and the unwavering love she gave so freely.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 14th, at 2 pm at Crestwood Funeral Home.
