Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crestwood Cemetery for Jean S. Smith, 84, Rainbow City. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Smith was born in Fairfield and passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. She graduated from Fairfield High School. Mrs. Smith was a wife and mother for 57 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee (H.L.) Smith; grandson, Kurt D. Franklin; and parents, Earl and Edith Spence.
She is survived by her daughters, Carole Smith Cornell, Kristi J. Smith and Janis L. Smith (Dave) Glispy, all of Gadsden, and Deede (Doug) Smith of Tuscaloosa; sisters, Earline (David) Alexander of Memphis, Tennessee, and Carolyn (Bill) Drummond of Birmingham; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. before the service Thursday.
